Three New Businesses on Their Way Downtown

Last updated on May 19, 2025

During the latest City Council meeting on May 19, the CRA approved funding for three new businesses as part of the (DTO) Retail and Restaurant Incentive Program. This program is designed to attract and support unique retail and dining experiences that enhance downtown living, create jobs, and provide engaging amenities for residents and visitors alike.

We’re excited to welcome Buffalo Boss, Acropolis Greek Taverna, and The Wig Factory to ever-evolving downtown Orlando. These new ventures not only bring diverse offerings to the community but also reflect the city’s commitment to fostering small business growth and revitalizing key corridors.

Buffalo Boss, a fast-casual restaurant is set to bring bold flavors and will become a go-to spot for wings when it opens on 333 N. Orange Avenue. This investment helps transform an underutilized space into a new food destination, adding to the vibrancy and walkability of the area. Acropolis Greek Taverna is a full service restaurant set to occupy 5.332 sq. ft. nearby at 390 N. Orange Avenue. This taverna will bring authentic Mediterranean flavors and an elevated dining experience to the downtown scene. The restaurant has signed a 10-year lease, demonstrating long-term investment in the neighborhood. Located at 642 W. Church Street, The Wig Factory will offer wigs, hair care products, and styling services in an 800 sq. ft. boutique retail setting.
