A new window activation at 55W, as part of the DTOLive Creative POP-UP program, is drawing the eye with a striking sense of movement and emotion. Created by sculptor Marsha De Broske, Swingers features layered figures arranged in rhythmic rows that invite viewers to pause and look closer.
Marsha’s work focuses on gestures and the essence of the sculpture she is creating. Working across multiple mediums, Marsha uses material and texture to shape mood. Exploring universal human experiences like loneliness, love, power, fear, and joy. Her sculptures are intentionally raw and expressive, encouraging viewers to interpret the work through their own perspective. Depending on where you stand, the piece reveals different emotional and visual readings.
Originally from Yonkers, New York, Marsha holds a BA in Fine Arts from Herbert H. Lehman College and an MS in Art Education from Syracuse University. Since moving to Orlando in 1999, she has actively pursued her studio practice, exhibiting nationally and internationally and creating commissioned public artworks.
This window activation offers a moment of reflection and curiosity, blending layered form with emotional storytelling in a way that feels both intimate and expansive. Be sure to stop by 55W this month to enjoy this piece.
