Downtown Orlando has unveiled Floral Odyssey, a large-scale mural by acclaimed artists Peterson Guerrier and Chris Jones. Revealed earlier last week, this dynamic artwork now transforms the façade of 1 South Orange Avenue, the headquarters of Launch That.
More than just a mural, Floral Odyssey is a celebration of imagination, ambition, and the boundless spirit of dreaming big. Developed through a partnership between Launch That, the City of Orlando's Community Redevelopment Agency, City District, and Red Tape Orlando, this project reflects the vision of the DTO Action Plan - leveraging arts and culture to enrich downtown’s identity and spark meaningful connections.
As children, we dream freely - imagining futures as astronauts, doctors, artists, or architects. But as we grow, those dreams can dim beneath the weight of everyday life. Floral Odyssey invites everyone to rediscover that sense of wonder and ask again: What do you want to be? Through bold colors, textured layers, and expressive movement, Guerrier and Jones have brought this question to life - turning a prominent downtown corridor into a place of inspiration and reflection.
Art like Floral Odyssey helps shape the personality of a city. It connects people, animates public spaces, and encourages a deeper sense of belonging. Positioned at a key downtown intersection, this mural naturally captures attention - inviting residents, workers, and visitors alike to pause, look up, and dream.
Now complete, Floral Odyssey stands as a testament to Orlando’s creative spirit and a vivid symbol of what’s possible when art meets ambition. The next time you’re downtown, take a moment to see it—and ask yourself, what do you want to be?
