In celebration of Orlando’s 150th anniversary, the City of Orlando invites the public to a special ribbon-cutting and opening reception for the new art exhibition, “The Changing Face of Orlando: A Sesquicentennial Celebration,” on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Terrace Gallery at Orlando City Hall.
Presented by T.G. Lee Dairy and sponsored by the Orange County Regional History Center, this unique exhibition offers a striking visual journey through time, pairing 12 historic photographs of Orlando with modern-day recreations that spotlight the city's evolution over the last 150 years.
From bustling street corners to quiet neighborhood landmarks, the photos highlight each of Orlando’s six City Districts through the lenses of celebrated local photographers and artists John Baker, Peterson Guerrier, Jim Hobart, Steven Madow, Walter Phuego, and Kayla Smith.
