What's Up Downtown : A Look Into Downtown's Past

A key part of our city’s plan for strategic growth is recognizing, preserving, and celebrating our past. Join us for What’s Up Downtown on Thursday, April 7 at 9:30 a.m. to take a step back in history as we embark on a Historic Walking Tour of downtown Orlando.

Along the way, you’ll hear from multiple guest speakers including Pamela Schwartz, Executive Director at Orange County Regional History Center; Richard Forbes, AIA, Appearance Review Official with the City of Orlando; Jennifer Fritz-Hunter, RA, Historic Preservation Officer with the City of Orlando; and character appearances from members of Orlando Remembered.

The tour will conclude at the Orange County Regional History Center where you will learn about the architecture and history of the building. Following the tour, everyone is invited for a complimentary visit to see all of the exhibits.

Please be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. The tour will begin at Discover Downtown, the Downtown Orlando Information Center (201 . Orange Ave., Suite 102, Orlando, FL 32801).
Unfortunately, this event is at capacity.  Click here to register for the waitlist.
