It was a day of love

Last updated on October 14, 2022

The Come Out With Pride Festival returned to Lake Eola Park last weekend along with a diverse series of week-long events. One of the largest Pride festivals in the Southeastern U.S., this year’s event featured entertainment for the whole family, as well as food, vendors, and its signature event, The Most Colorful Parade.

This year’s theme, “A Place for Us," reflected the LGBTQIA+ community’s united stance against the current challenging climate. It was a fun and inclusive event for everyone to enjoy, regardless of age, gender identity, gender expression, race, ability, or sexual orientation.

The Most Colorful Parade had more than 100 groups taking part in the mile-long route through downtown Orlando. And as always, the festival ended that night with fireworks at Lake Eola. Come Out With Pride brings nearly 200,000 people to Orlando every year, making it one of the largest Pride events in the state. And what better place to hold this day of love than at our most loved park – Lake Eola Park!

It was a beautiful weekend celebrating our LGBTQIA+ residents and visitors and we are proud of our diverse and inclusive community!
