Last updated on October 19, 2026
There's a new place to call home in downtown Orlando!
City leaders recently joined the City of Orlando's Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), Atlantic Housing Partners, Bank of America Community Development Company, and Ustler Development, Inc., to celebrate the grand opening of The Beacon at Creative Village, a new affordable housing community in the heart of Parramore.
Featuring 115 apartment homes, The Beacon provides quality, affordable housing for households earning at or below 80% of the area median income, creating more opportunities for residents to live, work, and thrive in downtown Orlando.
Located within the 68-acre Creative Village, The Beacon is part of a growing neighborhood that brings together housing, education, employment, parks, local businesses, and convenient transportation options. It's all about creating a connected community where residents have access to the places and opportunities that make downtown living special.
The opening also marks another step forward in the City of Orlando's commitment to expanding housing options. Through initiatives like Orlando Unlocked, the city is working to increase housing availability by modernizing zoning regulations, streamlining approval processes, and offering incentives that encourage new residential development.
As Creative Village continues to grow, developments like The Beacon are helping shape a more vibrant, welcoming, and accessible downtown Orlando for everyone.
