Last week at State of Downtown, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer emphasized that Project DTO 2.0 encapsulates that downtown Orlando is growing into a neighborhood that belongs to everyone. It's about consistently heading towards a brighter future and allowing the community to grow as well. As we embrace this new era of DTO it's essential to recognize how these facets enrich our lives and contribute to the vibrant tapestry of our communities.
One exciting development is the return of SAK Comedy Lab to Church Street. Laughter is a universal language that brings people together, and SAK Comedy Lab has been a source of entertainment and joy for years. Its comeback is a testament to our commitment to providing diverse and inclusive amenities that appeal to everyone.
We understand the value of cultural celebrations and parades. Events like Come Out With Pride, Veterans Day, MLK Day, and Puerto Rican Day not only honor our diverse heritage, but also foster unity and understanding among our residents.
Additionally, we view every square inch as a canvas for creativity. We are collaborating with the Downtown Arts District to transform crosswalks into public art installations, along with adding more murals from local artists. However, we're not stopping there! We're also reviving alleyways into unique gathering spaces to foster culture and community interaction. To add a touch of magic to the holiday season, we are thrilled to host the downtown Holiday Market again this year in December, spreading festive cheer and supporting local artisans.
