New Year, New You!

Last updated on December 17, 2021

The new year is just around the corner, which means it’s time to start planning your resolutions. This is an opportunity to start fresh and commit yourself to new habits or hobbies.

Downtown has several suggestions that can help you achieve your 2022 goals:

Pump Up the Fitness
Kick off the new year by starting or continuing your fitness journey. Blue Swan Boulders is a 15,000 sq ft. indoor climbing and bouldering gym. F45 Training provides 45-minute HIIT workouts focusing on strength and cardio. YogaMix has a variety of classes to help your mind, body, and soul. Lake Eola Park is an amazing landscape for your new walking or running routine (and those swan boats totally count as a work out too).

Get Creative
Being creative helps you see things different, can help you discover new hobbies and reduce stress. Visit CityArts, downtown’s largest collective of art galleries that showcases an infusion of local and international works of art. Play with different scents and styles by designing your own candle at Artifact Candle Foundry. Or exercise those brain muscles to solve puzzles at The Great Escape Room.

Conquer your Fear of Public Speaking
Many of us have in common one fear, public speaking. Impov classes can help tackle that fear, all the while allowing you to meet interesting people in a fun and supportive environment. Did you know that SAK Comedy Lab offers improv classes? Sign up for a course to practice your public speaking (and comedy skills).

Reading brings many benefits to our lives, like improving brain connectivity, vocabulary, comprehension, and aiding in sleep!  The Orlando Public Library has 290,000 square feet of books, movies, computers, and more.
