This summer, the City of Orlando is beginning the first phase of a citywide parking modernization initiative, replacing traditional on-street parking meters with a fully digital payment system. While the way you pay is changing, the parking spaces themselves aren't going anywhere.

Instead of paying at a meter, drivers will be able to pay for on-street parking using the ParkMobile app, Pay by Text, or by calling the phone number listed on the new parking signs and following the prompts. 

The city has offered ParkMobile as a convenient cashless payment option since 2015, and after successfully introducing meterless parking in Creative Village in 2019, the program is now expanding throughout downtown and the rest of Orlando. 

More Convenience, Same Great Downtown 

Going digital means you'll have more flexibility every time you park. Benefits include: 

• Extend your parking session remotely - no need to return to your vehicle.  

• Multiple payment options, including the ParkMobile app, text, or phone.  

• Digital receipts for added convenience.  

• A more streamlined parking experience throughout downtown.

What to Expect During the Transition 

Parking meters will be removed in phases throughout the summer. During the rollout, you may notice a mix of traditional parking meters and new digital parking signs while crews complete the installation process. 

The rollout schedule includes: 

• Phase 1: SoDo and the Orlando Health area  

• Phase 2: South Eola (east of Rosalind Avenue and south of Central Boulevard)  

• Phase 3: Remaining downtown locations between Colonial Drive and Anderson Street, and Garland Avenue and Rosalind Avenue
