The City of Orlando invites local visual artists to submit artwork for the 2026 Black History Month Exhibition in the Terrace Gallery at Orlando City Hall. This is an opportunity to showcase the profound richness of African American history and heritage through visual arts.
The 2026 theme is “A Century of Black History Commemorations.” This special centennial exhibition will encourage residents and visitors to explore the meaning and impact of Black history over the past century. We are seeking pieces that explore the power of storytelling, the contributions of trailblazers and everyday heroes, the resilience of Black communities, and the connection between historical legacy and contemporary identity.
Artists must submit all required materials through the City of Orlando’s online application portal by January 2, 2026. Visit orlando.gov/bhm for more information about the exhibit and submission requirements.
