Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 2 City Commissioner Tony Ortiz invite the community to join them in kicking of the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month with the opening of this year's Hispanic Heritage Month art exhibition on Wednesday, September 17 from 5 to 7 p.m.
This year, the Hispanic Heritage Month national theme is "Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future," which encourages the celebration of Hispanic culture, traditions, and contributions while looking toward a future of inclusivity and progress. The theme emphasizes the interconnectedness of Hispanic communities and their shared heritage across generations.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, and the important role art plays within the Hispanic culture the art exhibition, located in the Terrace Gallery on the first floor of City Hall, reflects the shared stories, customs, and artistic expressions that define Hispanic heritage — past, present, and future. The exhibition will run from September 15 to November 2, 2025.
In addition to the Terrace Gallery exhibition, Mayor Dyer and Commissioner Ortiz will host the City of Orlando’s Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Event on October 8, 2025 at 5 to 8pm at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts. This community-wide event will feature Latin food, music, and entertainment.
