The Grandmother’s Legacy of Love Butterfly Garden is now open at Lake Eola Park, adding another beautiful amenity for everyone to enjoy when visiting downtown Orlando’s signature park.
Created through a collaboration between the Orlando Land Trust and the City of Orlando, the butterfly garden can be found nestled between the Sperry Fountain and the lake’s walkway. The garden features lush landscaping featuring multiple sculptures, offering visitors a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city.
The project also honors more than 400 grandchildren - many fifth-generation Orlandoans - whose grandmothers contributed to making this vision a reality.
With this new feature, Lake Eola Park continues to grow as a place where residents and visitors can gather, relax, and experience the vibrant, walkable downtown envisioned in the DTO Action Plan.
