A New Housing Option is Coming to DTO!
Last updated on May 30, 2025
The Beacon at Creative Village will bring 115 thoughtfully designed mixed-income apartment units to the southeast corner of West Amelia Street and North Parramore Avenue.
This project isn’t just another apartment building, it's a part of DTOutlook, a plan that prioritizes more affordable housing options to ensure long-term affordability, and an enhanced mixture of housing options in our urban core.
Backed by $1.22 million in CRA funding, The Beacon will offer a range of unit types - including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts - and welcome residents from a variety of income levels. This kind of mixed-income approach helps build communities that are economically diverse, socially vibrant, and more resilient over time.
Affordable housing is a necessity for a healthy and growing city. By securing long-term affordability for the next 50 years, The Beacon ensures that people who work in and contribute to downtown Orlando - educators, service workers, creatives, young professionals - can also afford to live here.
And the location couldn’t be more ideal! As part of Creative Village, The Beacon will be steps away from higher education institutions, job centers, transit connections, and green spaces.
We look forward to welcoming The Beacon to DTO in late 2026.
