This young songbird shines brightly on the future of jazz. The first artist from Mexico to enter and win the 2022 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, LUCÍA is the versatile vocalist getting noticed for masterfully bridging Latin roots and jazz, weaving in timeless vocal technique with a silky-smooth timbre. The daughter of musicians, her musical heritage runs generations deep. She started her musical career at the age of two, singing and dancing in her parent'sson jarochoband. She has since performed on stages around world, including Carnegie Hall, Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center and Royce Hall at UCLA. She recently released her first full album, produced by Grammy-winner Matt Pierson, showcasing jazz standards, classic Spanish songs and current pop songs by Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo.
