Golden Flower

Next date: Tuesday, April 14, 2026 | 07:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Forged in the heat of Florida comes one of the most exciting new voices in progressive jazz. And now, Golden Flower returns to the Judson’s Live stage with their adventurous soundscapes. This ensemble features Shawn Villanueva on trumpet, Caitlin Pequignot on violin, Patrick Moreno on electric and acoustic piano, Brandon Kyle Miller on electric and acoustic bass and Cameron Gholami on drums. The group focuses on the heartbeat of rhythm in each of their songs, intricately crafting compositions that explore international musical influences and are full of adventurous improvisation and deep emotional energy. Blending eclectic styles of progressive rock, jazz, funk, South American music, South Asian music and electronic dance music, Golden Flower finds a sound and genre all its own.

Golden Flower has a residency at The Nook on Robinson in Orlando and has performed at Dr. Phillips Center, City Arts for the In-Between Series, the Orlando Fringe Festival and with Bobby Callender for the 50th anniversary of The Way: First Book of Experiences at the Timucua Arts Foundation. Its members have also performed with other acclaimed acts on national and international tours. Golden Flower currently has two music releases, has been featured as guest artists on several recordings and are currently working on their next studio album as well as a follow-up live album.
