3-D model of Downtown: Learn about current and upcoming developments in the Downtown area. The 3-D model gives guests a precise visual that aids in navigating through Downtown. With the color coded system, guests can pinpoint different types of buildings such as: business, government, residential, faith-based and proposed buildings.
Maps & Brochures: Navigate through Downtown with ease! Guests can browse through our four information racks which contain information regarding government and transportation, arts and cultural events, restaurants, and other services.
Free Wireless Internet Services: You can use your personal lap top or have access to a community computer to check your email or have internet access.
Internships With an internship at the Downtown Orlando Information Center, students gain knowledge about marketing and grow as a professional in many different aspects of business. Through partnerships with local businesses downtown, students are tasked and challenged with creating promotional items such as flyers, posters and postcards. These collateral pieces allow students to build their portfolio, expand their network and gain valuable experience. VIP’s serve our guests and keep in touch with what’s happening in the Downtown community. They assist guests in finding their way throughout the Downtown area. VIPs take pride in assisting our guests with available resources pertaining to their personal needs.
What’s Up Downtown is an event opportunity for Central Florida residents, businesses, employees, educators and others to learn more about the exciting developments and initiatives happening in and planned for Downtown Orlando. On the first Thursday of each month a presentation is provided on Downtown Orlando and the current key initiatives. Following the presentation is a question and answer session. What’s Up Downtown begins at 8:30 A.M. and lasts approximately one hour.
