Downtown Orlando Unveils Smart-phone Parking App
Grab your smart phone and check this out! The Orlando Downtown Development Board has launched a new, free Orlando parking app available on iTunes and Android Market. BlackBerry and standard mobile device users also can access the app via a web-view link http://parkin.downtownorlando.com/web.aspx from Downtown Orlando’s mobile website. The app, called Orlando parkIN’, allows users to locate and find the quickest route to nearly two dozen parking garages and lots – that’s more than 12,500 parking spaces – all within a 10-minute stroll of the new Amway Center.
Open the app and search for nearby parking listed by distance to the Amway Center. Not sure where the garage or lot is? Using Google Maps, the app can provide a convenient route to the selected location.
The app also sorts parking locations by price, lists hours of operation and number of spaces, and includes images of the location to aid in identifying your destination.
