Still wondering what to do for spring break? We’ve got you covered. There’s no shortage of exciting things to do while visiting downtown.  We highlighted a few places to visit or things to do downtown for some spring break fun!

  1. Take a trip to Lake Eola – Lake Eola Park is the in the heart of downtown. Pick up a sandwich at Great Harvest Bakery and head over to Lake Eola where you will find swan-shaped paddle boats available for rent. On Sundays, visit the Orlando Farmers Market that features 50 vendors.
  2. Visit the downtown library – Did you know that the downtown Orlando Public Library is the largest public library in the State of Florida? Get lost in a book, learn something new at one of the free classes they offer, or even attend their next open mic night every fourth Thursday of the month. The next open mic night is on March 26.
  3. Discover a new restaurant – Downtown Orlando is a foodie’s paradise. Whether it’s a steak house, sushi, or anything vegan-friendly, the perfect place to dine is in downtown. Here is a list of the dining options downtown.
  4. Have an insta-worthy photoshoot – There are so many amazing photo spots in downtown. Visit Discover Downtown, the downtown Orlando information center, and snap a photo in front of their mural that features swans, the SunRail, and the Lake Eola Fountain. Or head over to Lake Eola to take a perfect shot of the downtown skyline.
  5. Take a self-guided tour of downtown – The Downtown Historic Tour gives guests the opportunity to experience Orlando’s history firsthand. The tour is available via mobile device here. If you are interested in exploring downtown’s art scene, take a self-guided walking tour of See Art Orlando, a collection of nine permanent contemporary public art sculptures inspired by various elements of Orlando.
  6. Cheer on the home team- Bring your friends and family out for an Orlando Magic or Solar Bears game. Mark your calendars for the upcoming Orlando City, Orlando Pride, and Predator games.
  7. Experience a new adventure – Throw axes at BATL, experience a brain-busting scavenger hunt at The Great Escape Room, or design your own candle at Artifact Candle Foundry.
  8. Visit our main streets – Downtown Orlando is home to two of the city’s Main Street districts: Church Street District and Thornton Park District. These are areas that are packed with great dining options and an amazing entertainment and nightlife scene.
