3-D model of Downtown: Learn about current and upcoming developments in the downtown area. The 3-D model gives guests a precise visual that aids in navigating through downtown. The color coded system allows guest to locate different types of buildings such as business, government, residential, faith-based and proposed development.
Maps & Brochures: Navigate through downtown with ease! Guests can browse through our four information racks which contain information regarding government and transportation, arts and cultural events, restaurants, and other services.
Free Wireless Internet: Visitors have access to complimentary wifi.
Internships: Students gain knowledge about marketing and develop professional skills with an internship at the Downtown Orlando Information Center. Through community partnerships with downtown businesses, students are given the opportunity to create promotional items, such as flyers, posters and postcards. These collateral pieces allow students to build their portfolio, expand their network and gain valuable experience in a professional setting. Here’s how it works:
- Check-in to downtown Orlando on Facebook
- Show your phone to a Volunteer Information Provider at the Downtown Orlando Information Center, 201 South Orange Avenue.
- Receive a free poster of downtown.
Note: One poster per person per day will be distributed.
Posters are available to all visitors who check-in to downtown Orlando on Facebook while supplies last.
Volunteer Information providers (VIP’s)
VIP’s advise downtown visitors on what’s happening in the downtown community. They assist guests in finding their way throughout the downtown area. VIPs take pride in assisting our guests with available resources pertaining to their personal needs.
What’s Up Downtown
What’s Up Downtown is a monthly information session for Central Florida residents, businesses, employees, educators and others to learn more about the exciting developments and initiatives happening in and planned for downtown Orlando. The Downtown Orlando Information Center hosts informational workshops/presentations on downtown Orlando and current key initiatives, the first Thursday of each month. What’s Up Downtown begins at 8:30 A.M. and lasts approximately one hour. Seating is limited so please RSVP to Rose Garlick with the Downtown Development Board/Downtown Orlando Information Center at 407.246.3789, or contact us.
