Downtown Orlando has watched with anticipation as the Orlando Magic’s new home has grown into a massive, seven- story structure. In a press conference in August, the Orlando Magic announced the new events center would be named the Amway Center. Although it is a time when corporate funds are closely guarded, “Amway is excited to continue our partnership with the Magic and the City of Orlando,” said Amway Chief Marketing Officer Candace Matthews. The new events center will strengthen and unite our community by allowing more accessibility to the center and encouraging the flow of people throughout Downtown.
The Amway Center will also ensure a more comfortable and convenient experience for visitors. At close to 900,000 square feet it is more than double the size of the existing Amway Arena and will position Downtown Orlando as the premiere city to host major national events, concerts and family shows. This increase in space will offer more than 20,000 seats and make more amenities available on each of the seven levels. A themed restaurant, an indoor food-court and an outdoor patio with food service on the second level will offer patrons many food options during events. Beverage options will also be plentiful with a public bar as well as a private bar on the club levels. Die-hard fans are sure to not miss anything when venturing out for that soda or snack with around a thousand screens distributed throughout. ATMs and Information kiosks are among other things that will be enhanced to ensure a positive experience. In addition to all these amenities, Amway Center boasts capability to provide banquet, convention and trade-show space on the 31,000 square foot arena floor.
