Celebrate Women’s History Month with a discussion featuring author Dr. Joyce Henry. Her book, No One Asked Us: The Under-representation of African Americans and Latinos on Local Boards and Commissions, offers strategies to engage African Americans and Latinos in the civic and political life of their community. Dr. Henry documents how individual and institutional barriers, including racism, work to limit ethnic minority representation in civic affairs. A book sale and signing will follow the program.
