Internship Opportunity – Spring 2019

The Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment Agency currently has an internship opportunity available for spring 2019. We are currently seeking a Nighttime Economy Management Intern. The position is an unpaid, volunteer internship programs open to any current college student, both graduate and undergraduate with a declared major in a relevant field. Ideal candidates should have strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Nighttime Economy Management Internship

The Nighttime Economy Management Internship is a unique internship opportunity. The City of Orlando is one of the first cities in the nation to “get on board” with the particularly new industry trend of “Nighttime Economy Management.” It is the first time in local government history that dedicated offices/positions/divisions are being created to foster/grow/evaluate such a crucial and necessary component of all real cities. Nighttime Economy is about vibrancy, hospitality, the visitor experience, safety, usability, collaboration, events, tourism and more!

If you’re looking for a very hands-on internship with the City of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment Agency and an opportunity to learn more about strategic partnership, project management, public administration, logistics, brand development and communications.
