2018 Golden Brick Award Winners

The annual Golden Brick Awards luncheon was hosted by the Downtown Orlando Partnership (DOP) at the Marriott Orlando Downtown. The awards program recognized community and development projects that positively impacted downtown Orlando in 2018.

13 projects were awarded Golden Bricks including: 

  • Highwaymen Kids Program (Category: Art) 
  • The Orlando Magic Foundation Community Center (Category: Community Engagement) 
  • Genome: Unlocking Life’s Code Exhibition (Category: Diversity) 
  • Shutts & Bowen LLP Remodel & Expansion (Category: Expansion) 
  • Downtown Orlando YMCA’s Let’s Move For a Better World (Category: Health + Wellness) 
  • Orlando Health Team Member Center (Category: Renovation)
  • CRA Infill Homes (Category: Residential)
  • City PUB (Category: Restaurant)
  • Robinson Cocktail Room (Category: Bar)
  • Black Bee Honey (Category: Retail) 
  • Orlando Health Team Member Center (Category: Renovation)

  • City PUB (Category: Restaurant)

Additionally, two projects received the “Award of Excellence” for demonstrating extraordinary achievements and broad reaching contributions to downtown Orlando: 

  • FusionFest 2018 
  • Modera Central by Mill Creek Residential 

Finally, the 2018 Downtowner of the Year was presented to Allen Johnson, Chief Venues Officer for Orlando Venues by special guest Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer.
